A supportive, drug-free, alcohol-free community can make all the difference on the road to recovery.

"Surrounding yourself with the proper programs and like-minded individuals is a great way to start on the road to recovery"
Early recovery offers so many positive changes in one's life; however, it does come with the often stressful, challenging, and overwhelming emotions and thoughts when faced with difficult situations and now ever evolving social expectations. However, research shows that individuals are better able to sustain their sobriety long-term when they live in a supportive environment. We have helped countless people start over after exiting residential treatment and continue their journey.
Our sober living homes are designed to ease residents into an independent sober lifestyle by building upon the skills and habits learned while in treatment and providing a personal support network of sober peers. We offer an environment with minimal distractions where residents can engage in a recovery-focused lifestyle with real-life responsibilities and opportunities to gain valuable life skills.

"I was put in a scary predicament of having to move out my of previous sober housing and options were scarce. I was running out of time and options and being homeless was my next move. I knew I needed to stay in a sober environment and on the last day, I reached out to Royal Sober Homes one more time and they just happened to have a bed open up that morning. The transition was smooth, house was clean, and all the residents were welcoming. This home provided everything I needed to maintain my sobriety and move forward with my life. I am beyond blessed and grateful to have lived in a Royal Sober Home.”

“Being at Penny Royal has really helped me strengthen all areas of my life. It set me on the right track to develop and maintain positive and healthy routines for the future. When I moved in, I set personal goals and little by little I have been able to achieve those goals. Being able to get in here when I needed it the most means so much to me and I will forever be grateful for this opportunity.”

“My name is Chris and I'm an alcoholic. I moved into The Penny Royal sober home on December 1, 2023. I was fresh out of the local detox and a 28 day inpatient program in Falmouth. I arrived at the house scared out of my mind! I'd never tried sober living. It was a completely foreign environment to me and I was very hesitant about the whole situation. Upon entering this house all of my nerves were laid to rest. I was warmly welcomed by fellow alcoholics and addicts like me. Everyday since that first day has been a life changing experience! The house and it's occupants are awesome! Being here provides me with a safe and sober home where I'm held accountable and keep my focus on my recovery. Today I'm 9 months sober! I could not have done this without Mark Culpo, Matt B. and all my friends at The Penny Royal Sober Home! I highly recommend sober living! It has literally saved my life.”

““I just wanted to reach out to you and say thank you. Thank you for allowing me into your home when I needed it the most. Thank you for the chance and your support. I am actually retiring from the military by the end of the year or beginning of next. I’ve already started networking and taking classes for my next career in IT.
Again, thank you because I do not think I would be where I am right now without you being there for me when I needed it the most. Love you brother. “
